Charlie,

I'm not sure what you are getting at here? I only mentioned the open table app and urban spoon because they are search like applications that don't use a web search engine to give results.

I don't have an iPhone, and therefore I can't have a bias one way or another. As for being a coward - I don't believe I am.

Best,
~Li

I agree with you completely. I do believe that search applications are changing the way people search, and thus changing the roll of an online marketer, even those who just consider themselves SEO's.

The term Search Engine Optimization doesn't specify 'browser-based search engines;' I believe that mobile search applications ARE just different types of search engines. If mobile search applications are getting a significant enough amount of relevant traffic in client's vertical, I think SEO's would be doing their clients a dis-service if they didn't at least mention the opportunity.

I use five apps on iPhone. Four are paid apps and one was free. The free one is weatherbug and it outshines all the paid apps. I am not sure what you have against weathebug, what does the word dreaded mean?

I love the app, I have recommended to all friends who have iPhone.

I am mad simply because it is obvious to me you have not even tried the app and you are biased toward accuweather.

I am sure you will not post this, simply because you are a coward.
